Started out as a little doodle in my notebook during Speech class, then turned into a demonstration of my immaculate ability to waste time. Lots and lots of time. So I didn't have any real intentions or plans for this guy, he just... developed as things went along. And I'm really happy with him. The style for this guy is kind of inspired by Rackham's Confrontation miniature game, their Wolfen race is kind of similar looking (and I used to draw 'em a lot for practice, a year or two ago). Anyway, I've decided now, long after drawing him, that he has a place in the RPG I'm writing.. He's a Korgan.. which.. how to explain this.. Um, humans are to ogres/trolls as Kolaks (my wolf guys) are to Korgan. So he's the nasty, brutish, big and dumb distant cousin of the wolf race of my RPG...
Pencil with a photoshop background (he deserved more than just plain white).
One of my FAVORITE pieces of yours (in fact I'll add it to my favs right after this...) and it deserves so much more publicity than it's getting. Not only is it great because it evolved from a simple under-the-desk sketch but also because it's completely your own idea practically from the ground up. From the story background of the piece to the piece itself, the inspiration to you recieve is phenominal and whatever you were smoking when you made this pic, you should smoke it more often. It's VERY difficult for me to notice anything wrong with this picture, mainly because there is nothing wrong with it. I think it's absolutely perfect. From the beautiful carving of the stone cross-headstone to the echo of the moons light to the pose, muscle tone, kick ass sword, and the evil look on his face, this is a piece that deserves no less than the delicasy, care, and attention of a Van Gogh work of art. I may sound like I'm getting carried away with these comments, but even if I am, I mean every word of it. Excellent!
A bit carried away, Peter? hehehe, oh just a tad in my humble opinion, but I can't turn down an opportunity to blush! Thanks! I'm sure there's something wrong here, probably the fact that he's very pencil-ly while the background is obviously Photoshop, but I may actually fix that in the future. Hell, I may color Vermin, I love him so much. But thank you!
I believe that it's one of the hardest things in the world to update something that's perfect without making a sequel, and if you feel that in some way shape or form you can improve the pic more than it's current state, I bow to you milady. If you do update I will be awaiting it with anxiouty beyond that of a Final Fantasy fan waiting for FF12, I will... ok, now I'm gettin way to poetic and shBEEPt. I look forward to a *possible* 2.0 of this pic and hopefully I'll be seeing it on the side-a mi computer someday to show off to people! Keep it up!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
